Safety

Jump for Joy – Moray prides itself on safety, we wouldn’t risk our child’s safety and therefore we won’t risk your child’s safety. A bouncy castle is not a toy, and if proper safety procedures are not followed then accidents may occur. We follow very strictly the below regulations for bouncy castle hires:

https://www.hse.gov.uk/entert.../fairgrounds/inflatables.htm

Outdoor hires are only available from Start April to Start October

Weather Conditions:

Wind

Jump for Joy Moray will cancel all bookings where the wind speeds are forecast for over 20mph. A Bouncy castle of inflatable should NEVER be operated in wind speeds of 24mph or over, this is extremely dangerous and could result in the castle being blown away and putting the users in danger. If you have booked with us and it is windy conditions, we would cancel the booking and refund you the deposit or transfer to another date within six months of the original date, to keep you safe.

Rain

If you have booked with Jump for Joy – Moray, and on the day of hire it is heavy rain or forecast for heavy rain we would cancel the booking and refund you the deposit or transfer to another date within six months of the original date. If it is light showers and the Bouncy castle has a shower cover on it, then we would be happy to carry on the booking.

Suitable and safe set ups for outdoor hires:

Safety is top priority at Jump for Joy – Moray we are take extra precautions to maintain a trustworthy reliable service. Keeping in line with the legislation set out by the government legislation we are sadly not able to provide Bouncy Castle hires on any hard surfaces other than grass unless it is indoors.

Why can’t you just use a Sandbag?

We could in theory just use sandbags and this would be acceptable by law however, each anchor point would require approximately 56 sandbags or 1400kg of weight. This is not practical and wouldn't be cost effective. There are companies within the area that can fix to concrete, but they use bolts drilled into the concrete, if you require like our recommended companies, please contact us.

1 Sandbag Per Anchor Point is NOT Suitable, Adequate, or Safe!
At the end of the day its yours, your families, or friends’ children's lives at risk, please don't risk it!
